Most people are shocked to find out my childhood was pretty normal. Despite popular opinion, I actually do have a Mother. And she's a good one, who did her best to teach me about respect and sensitivity towards other peoples feelings. Hey, I didnt say I learned any of that stuff, but I give the women a A for effort....My Father always told me we share a wit. He got half, and I got the other half. Together, we're a couple of Half-Wits!!! I suppose I got my sense of humor and constant need of attention from him. Poor man didn't have a clue what he was creating.
I've been in radio since my Junior year of high school, and I'm in my mid-30's now, so I've managed to live for nearly twenty years without getting a REAL JOB (TAKE THAT! high school guidance counselors). A lot of people ask about my job at WPOR and wanna know if it's even half as fun as it sounds. The truth?? It's BETTER than you think! I wake up every morning, and my "Job" is to hang out with one of my best friends (Jon) and try to make people laugh and smile. Honestly, even an idiot like me has to feel blessed.
Whether it's life, or radio, I tend to live by one motto. "If you keep your expectations low, I'll rarely disappoint You"....I'm from Biddeford (Go ahead, insert Joke here) although I always like to point out that I was born in Portland, and no, I'm not French (Not that there's anything wrong with that)...
