WPOR is proud to support the American Heart Association. On average, 9 Mainers die every day of a cardiovascular event and Maine has the highest stroke death rate among all New England states.
The good news is that heart disease and stroke are largely preventable. Take the first step to a heart-healthy life! Join the POR Morning Crew and thousands of other Mainers at The Heart Walk on Sunday, May 19th with a new starting location this year: the triple A parking lot on Marginal Way in Portland, followed by a walk around Back Cove. The Heart Walk is brought to you by The Forecaster and News 8.
