The Academy of Country Music nominees in the newcomer categories for the 48th Annual ACM Awards have been announced. The three categories — New Female Vocalist, New Male Vocalist and New Vocal Duo or Group — will be opened up to interactive fan voting through www.VoteACM.com and www.GACtv.com/ACM beginning on Monday (January 21st).

The ACM will award trophies in each of the three individual newcomer categories. The winners of each will compete for the overall New Artist of the Year award to be revealed during the live telecast of the ACM Awards on April 7th. The show will be broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
