FoxNews.com put together a list of 18 Ridiculous Life Lessons from “The Brady Bunch”.
The list IS pretty ridiculous, although they noted that some of the “life lessons” were “unintentional.”
Here are a few highlights!
You are beautiful, no matter what they say. Jan wore a black curly wig to a birthday party to “stand out,” but her friends MOCKED her. Later, they told her they were only laughing because her real hair is beautiful, and so is she.
Promising your school that you can get Davy Jones to sing at the dance will result in Davy Jones singing at the dance. Marcia thought being the president of the local Davy Jones fan club would make it easy for her to get him to come to her school.
That wasn’t the case, but after a series of shenanigans, she DID manage to get him to the dance. And on top of that, she even got a kiss from him.
Lying about knowing Joe Namath gets you a chance to meet Joe Namath. Bobby bragged to his friends that he knows Joe Namath, but they didn’t believe him, naturally.
So Cindy wrote Joe a letter claiming that Bobby was very sick, and his last dying wish was to meet him. Her plan actually worked, but not before their parents found out about all the lying.
Wield power wisely. Bobby was named “Safety Monitor” at his school . . . and quickly let the power go to his head. He started writing up his classmates for minor things . . . so everyone started hating and ignoring him.
Goats in the attic are a bad thing. Greg was taking care of a LIVE goat mascot that was stolen from a rival school. It was in the attic . . . the family heard it . . . and thought Greg had snuck a GIRL up to his room.
This led to Mike having an awkward “sex” talk with Greg.
Don’t get an after-school job where your sister works. Marcia became a real jerk when Jan was hired to work with her at the local ice cream parlor.
Marcia had been hoping to become the manager, but her boss thought Jan was better . . . and let Marcia go.
