CMT to air George Strait’s farewell concert

NASHVILLE (AP) — George Strait’s final show will be shown on CMT on Aug. 29.

Strait’s farewell concert was recorded in Dallas on June 7.

The show featured guest musicians Jason Aldean, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Martina McBride, Sheryl Crow, Alan Jackson and Strait’s son, George “Bubba” Strait Junior.

More than 104,000 people attended the show.

The concert special will also include new interviews with Strait.
