George Strait’s farewell concert airs tonight

NASHVILLE (AP) — George Strait’s final concert will be shown on CMT tonight at 7 p.m. Eastern.

Strait’s farewell concert was held in Dallas on June 7 and featured guest musicians Jason Aldean, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Martina McBride, Sheryl Crow, Alan Jackson and Strait’s son, George “Bubba” Strait Junior.

More than 104,000 people attended the show.

The two-hour special, “George Strait: The Cowboy Rides Away,” will also include new interviews with Strait.
