Jason Aldean recognized for digital sales, streams

NASHVILLE (AP) — The group that gives out gold and platinum records is giving a special recognition to Jason Aldean.

The Recording Industry Association of America is recognizing Aldean as the top male country artist in the history of its digital gold and platinum awards.

Aldean has tallied more than 21.5 million RIAA digital single certifications, which counts downloads and streaming.

Aldean says it’s a huge honor that everyone on his team earned together.
