Trace Adkins makes surprise appearance at Grand Ole Opry

Country singer Trace Adkins made his first public appearance since his recent rehab stint with a surprise performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday.

The “You’re Gonna Miss This” hitmaker took the stage at the iconic venue to perform his hit “Kiss You All Over” with country group Exile.

News of the 52-year-old’s return to the stage comes a month after his father, Aaron Adkins, passed away, and almost two months after the singer checked in to rehab to battle alcoholism.

Adkins had been sober for more than a decade after completing a 28-day alcohol rehabilitation program in 2002, but decided to seek professional help following a drunken altercation with an impersonator on a cruise he was booked to perform on in January.
