Jennifer Nettles looked STUNNING at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, especially considering the Sugarland singer had just given birth a few months prior.

So how did she do it? Nettles has revealed her 4-step plan.

In a journal entry on her website, Nettles says it came down to genetics, breastfeeding, exercise and nutrition.

“While everyone was very positive in their comments to me, they weren’t always as positive about themselves and their own body image,” the singer reveals. “I have such a problem with that and want to address a few things.”

Genetics explains itself but Nettles explains breastfeeding burns 500 calories a day. As far as exercise, Nettles says she began walking two months after her baby Magnus was born in December. A month after that she started working with a trainer. She goes on to explain her nutrition choices and make recommendations to other women struggling to drop weight after giving birth.

Nettles plans to release her first solo album in the fall.
