Keith Urban waited 4 months to call Nicole Kidman

Keith Urban took four months to act on his feelings for Nicole Kidman after meeting her briefly at a Hollywood celebration of all things Australian.

The country star played it cool and pretended he wasn’t all that impressed at the Good Day LA gala and then bided his time before calling the woman that was to become his wife.

The actress tells U.S. TV chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, “We have different perspectives on it; I’m like, ‘You didn’t love me at first sight, you didn’t notice me,’ and he’s like, ‘Yes, I did but I just didn’t let on.’

“We kind of met and then about four months later he called me… That’s a long time… That’s why I’m like, ‘You really didn’t like me when you first met me.’”

“He said he had other things he had to take care of.”
