All I can say is WOW…this fair is huge, unbelieveable. Had a great time their at our POR stop there. Should be a great weekened as well - Jamey Johnson performs tomorrow night (Oct. 10th). Definiteley visit http://www.fryeburgfair.com to plan out your day there. And eat some fried dough and fair fries for me. After this one and the Cumberland, I am done for the season!!
How are ya? So I just moved from Westbrook to Cape Elizabeth. And as much as the traffic in South portland and over the bridge can be a pain in the neck, I am loving the new sites heading in to work in the AM. Especially driving over the Casco Bay Bridge, and seeing all the crusie ship traffic. Pretty cool - gotta love living in such a cool area!
Hard to believe it’s been 8 years already since 9/11…it was such a crazy day, I think it will always seem like yesterday.
I lived in NJ when it happened…knew people at the WTC that day. Those I knew are ok. We lost so many, but thank god for the heroes who helped so many evacuate…
Besides the events of that day and those lost, two other things really stick out to me looking back.
One - Route 80 in NJ, a major highway always full of traffic - was empty, like it had been abandoned for years. It was as if the world stopped…
And the other - 11 days later at my brothers wedding, the relief and escape of seeing family and friends, and just celebrating.
Remember to remember today, but also remember to celebrate life with those close to you!

How yough is it to be inside working now that the sun is back? Yes, the rain was terrible. But at least I was not staring out my window wishing I was outside!
So I am flipping through the channels last night, and I see an ad on TLC for a reality show about a bake shop that makes cakes. Just to clarify not a cooking show that shows you how to bake a cake, but a reality show with people arguing and dropping cakes down a flight of steps.
